Environmental portrait photography

I love people, and it's a lifetime obsession to document them in dynamic ways through being a commercial and editorial photographer. I love setting folks at ease and taking the time to truly capture a personality (any age, any setting) and tell its' story for a greater purpose, be that for commercial branding or journalistic magazine features.

If the photographs are for a publication or marketing campaign, I value  the collaborative process with art directors and editors to determine what kind of tone we want to set with environmental portrait photography.  I can also play a hand in re-branding businesses small and large with fresh corporate headshots (as well as product and lifestyle images).

And of course, I never turn down the opportunity to work closely with creatives; entrepeneurs, bands, makers and artists appreciate my willingness to jump headfirst into a crazy idea and come out with something quirky and epic.
